Thanks
ok, the surface is very simply worked by gluing the different parts together with epoxy resin + microballoon before laying either fiberglass or carbon fiber in the same way as you did for your board. Nothing too complicated.
1st time in water to see if everything is tight. Check
Sealing for mastplate as on board V1 molded with Wagnerseal
Last step now building the battery packs:4x 8S6P to get 2x 16S6P
As Molicel P42 was sold out, I took Samsung INR21700-50S 5000mAh - 35A
Today maiden flight with nice sunny weather
Love it
Harder to start, but foiling much more dynamic.
Worth every hour of work the last weeks
Old 1.73m board vs new 1.2m board
Last step now:
finish the second battery pack for double-fun
Board got a bigger sister for beginner foilers like my wife: 145x70x12cm, 86liters vs 120x60x12cm, 61 liters
Hot wire was not so fine this time. There will be a lot of filling and sanding

One last step of filling and then glassing.
The erotic moment when you put on the glass
As for the other boards it will be 5 layers 163g on each side.
After manual epoxy roll on board comes in vacuum bag @-0.6 bar under heated blanket for 8hours
Glasing finally finished.
Some painting to get a whiter white
(the epoxy pigments does not match my expectations)
To do:
Some decoration airbrushing and topcoat, openings for hatch, mastmount, motorcables.
Today maidenflight after testing of watertightness.
Starting is more challenging as on the 120cm board, once in the air it feels good. I think there will be a lot of fun in 2025
awesome builds! what hatch are you using?
Thank You!
It‘s the Osculati round inspection hatch. Size I think is 230mm. It‘s the biggest one.
It‘s 100% watertight. For opening after foiling you Need a Special tool as a lever
What kind of tool? Can you 3d print it?
Yes, I have 1 3D printed and one made out of wood
Would you mind sharing the 3d printed tool to open it?
Next time on the PC I can Upload to Thingiverse.
But I prefere the wooden one.
Osculati Hatch by elnillo - Thingiverse
It was qick´n´dirty, not nice, but is woking.
You have to screw it on a wooden stick for example to have a longer lever
