I am concerned about what happens if you fall and the contacts get exposed. Battery fire?
Plastic bag should be just a second level of safety.
Pelican case had a good quality and works well.
I am using it with 12s2p and 12s3p without any overheating issues.
Water on battery’s is really a safety issue (fire). In this case you should be able to remove the battery from your waist in time. Water on connector was no real issue for me yet.
150a phase amps is ok. can be less too…
Tested the waist belt a few times in the waves. Its my favorite solution for an assist.
The belt could be a bit more solid.

In my experience, shoulder straps with a small strap across the chest makes a huge difference to the comfort and help make the weight ‘ disappear’.
On one of my setups I use an old DaKine windsurf waist harness which is heavily sculpted and padded, sits really nicely on the hips. Adding shoulder straps took it to next level.
Cool setup. However, I really don’t like the wire insulation. If anyone has a link to a three-wire twisted wire with silicone insulation, please share it.

I would get a wing harness it would be perfect, I’m looking at building the same setup, I actually have the same slingshot fish foil board. I have a bunch of new tenpower 21700 50XG coming for another project but brought in a buddy to buy a bunch of cells cheaper. we were going to make 4s2p and 6s 2p packs for drones a rc boats and after seeing them stacked packs in the pelican case I was like F’n right I can multiuse the packs for foiling too. I am wondering(new here) do you have a parts list for this and would it work well for a 70kg in salt water? any and all info would be appreciated… even a link if you have already posted.

I have seen the duotone waist belt projects here. Since i was not really happy with my belt I had to test it:

My wife teached me how to sew the bag outside
After everything was finished I realized I forgot the battery cable to the RX for battery measurement.
Therefore I decided to add KISS telemetry (for SEQURE ESCs) support to bremote.

I like that, I hadn’t thought of simplifying the setup by just using an IP68 ESC on the outside like that.
