Thanks Mike perfect picture. I’ll probably not try and redo the solder joints on the inside…
Had been meaning to put some corrosion x in the motor. So cracked the other side and at looks like I had gotten a few drops of water though the seal.
Ceramic or Oil?
Cheerio
Mine was a older one - NSK 6001du - Looks like an oil one.
I had the same issue, my bearing got also very loud. Changed both bearings, Oil sealings and add corX. I will open my Motor soon, this will be interesting.
What did you change it out to? Nicer sealed ceramic bearings?
Actually my bearings, at least the cap one, was corroded quite badly. I changed both, but same material. Oil sealing had a cut so I changed both. But you can’t change oil vs ceramic seal, it’s different in size
Can provide the link to the ceramic sealing??
Cheers!
Can Not, Not have. Anybody?
I will measure it tomorrow
Thanks @SUP-MIKE! What motor version do you have? I’ve got the 100kv with 10mm shaft.
Did you replaced the peter motor?
I have it with 120kv and 12mm shaft with thread - can send some pictures of inside if needed.
Peters motor runs great since months - but you know it’s a long winter and I love to draw, mill, weld, solder etc
Mike
It’s 55x2,5mm and very soft - maybe Shore A40
Thanks! Mine is already broken caused by opening the motor 5 times now. Mine sits quite loose in the groove. Do you have the same feeling?
You are right - I measured the other side - were is front and were is back
it sounds like you have too much free time
here they do not use the usual dimensions as with o-rings for hydraulics - but we do not have the high pressures
If anyone still searching for a perfect motor (from Peter Jell) I sell one complete with mast unit a.s.o. see buy&sell section…
